Each poison can have one or two abilities that determine its effectiveness in combat. These abilities waver in strength depending on the rank of the poison. For instance, a C rank poison would not kill a user but an S rank poison could. A poison can only be extracted by a certain type of jutsu. For instance, the Poison Extraction Jutsu can pull some of the poison in order to make an antidote. All poisons that cause death must have a full duration of at least two threads before the victim dies.
