Above all else Shi is devout to her religion, one could argue to the point where she is so excessively in love with her God that she transcends beyond even the loyal. Shi has an uncritical zealousness for her religion and will not believe anything to the contrary. Shi's fanaticism and extreme devotion are one of the key defining traits of her personality, she sees herself as an educator to the world and deviation from that is met with extreme hostility.

Grandiose
More than just being arrogant or vain, Shi sees herself as complete and ultimate perfection. A sane individual might see Shi as unrealistic in her self-belief but that's precisely what makes Shi so dangerous, unfaltering and with a belief that she is unique and set on a path dictated by her faith. Shi believes that she is superior to others, from aesthetics, to capabilities and personality. Anyone she meets in life is eyed with a certain disdain and there are very few people who have the honor of being respected by her. She is guiltless in her actions, believing that everything she does serves a greater purpose for her God, Akui, and those that are harmed in the meanwhile do so because of their own inferiority.

Changeable
An unfortunate side effect of her unhingedness, Shi also has the habit of being changeable. Changeable, not in the sense of her life choices, but in the social aspects of how she relates to others. The woman can be completely relaxed one moment and at the drop of a hat can flip a switch, changing her mind on what her next course of action is. It makes her unpredictable in almost any situation and certainly dangerous. Moods can swing on a dime and anyone presented to her should be cautious.

Impulsive
Though she follows a mandate that defines her core being, Shi's life choices are entirely made on impulsivity. The woman acts on instinct, taking unnecessary risks on occasion if it suits her mindset. She isn't bothered about escalating situations and as a result can be hard to pin in different scenarios. It might be the making of her undoing, but so far Shi has gotten through life just fine on her impulsivity.

Visionary
With the belief that she walks the earth for a purpose, Shi sees herself as a visionary. Shi believes wholeheartedly that she is one of the three Herald's of Akui, placed on the earth to sow discord and bring enlightenment to the world, readying the world for her God to walk upon it. The woman is also aware of the way her religion works, knowing that they sow discord from the dark, though she is forthcoming with her beliefs, however not naming her religion to protect its cult like status, she knows that as a visionary of her religion one must be careful in the seeds one sows. Her primary mandate, and one that drives her very essence, is the absolute conviction that she is placed on the earth to create destruction. She is careful in the bolder decisions she makes, but ultimately they all serve the same purpose.

Smart
Unhinged, detached, insane; many monikers fit Shi's personality. But what makes Shi most dangerous is her intelligence. She might be grandiose, might come across completely incapable of rational thought, but Shi is incredibly intelligent. She is attuned to how the world works and puts any and all knowledge she possesses to work. She is resourceful and skillful, putting any limitations out of her mind and looking at the bigger picture. Lacking empathy in many things ultimately puts Shi beyond the norm for why she has such an intelligence, it is easy to eliminate problems that others might hesitate with as well as react to different situations without fear of failure.

Ruthless
Shi's mandate is absolute. So absolute, in fact, that she will do anything and everything to ensure it is met. Shi will do anything to get what she wants and doesn't care who gets in her way in order to achieve it. Shi, like many others, has a killer instinct but having little to no empathy means she will sink to any level to achieve her goals.

Fearless
Death is not a consequence to Shi. Pain is tolerated. Shi attends to life without the fear of meeting her end or failing, for there is no failure in bringing enlightenment to the world - one will hear it, accept it or find salvation in death.

• History:Not everything was as it was now for Shi she used to be a very different person indeed. It all started twenty-five years ago for the woman now known as Amaterasu Shi. Not that she knew she would be part of a cult following growing up. Her father the last Kage before her had been apart of the same cult as she was now. Growing up Shi was very much an ordinary ninja though she never knew her mother as she died giving birth to Shi or at least what she had been told by her father while the truth of her death would not be revealed to her until she was much older.

Growing up and going through the ninja academy Shi showed signs of great promise very much like her father. She quickly gained a love for taijutsu like her father which he personally taught her in his free time, he also helped with conditioning her body so that she was in prime condition when it came to her peers. Even as a genin now that she had gotten out of the academy she was capable of hurting someone with her fists in such a way it could break bones. While she was only 10 by now she didn’t stay a genin very long as she was fast-tracked by her father to the role of chunin. Shi didn’t even have to take the chuunin exam because her father raised her rank on his own and was one of the youngest chuunin in the village at the time.

While she was now a Chunin she didn’t partake in other activities with other Chuunin her age as her father personally oversaw her development. He continued to train with Shi pushing her more and more. Very much pushing her to the point that she often broke down and cried because of the pain her father was putting her through. Her pain caused Shi to become stronger and tougher as did her once the soft exterior of her soul.

After a hard days training with her father, he sat down with Shi in his kage office in order to discuss something important with her. He first explained to her that the village was run by a cult of sorts. The village ‘kage’ often served as one of the leaders of the cult all in service of there god or being as they saw it. The cult’s name was fukō no zenchō. [Followers of Akui]. Her father explained what the motives of the cult were;

I. Enlighten the infidels
II. Prepare the lands for his return
III. Enjoy your work for the lord
IV. Corrupt the virtues

Her father than revealed the laws of the cult to her.

I. Thou shell deny the blight
II. Thou shall gift the Lord.
III. Thou shall not show mercy.
IV. Thou shall not kill instantly.
V. Thou shall exploit their weaknesses

When Shi asked why he was telling her all this. He responded by saying that she had been chosen to take control of the cult by the god himself while she didn’t understand what her father was telling her right now she would one day. For now her father said even though this was the god’s desire for her to be in control she wasn’t ready to be in control yet. As the years passed them by he continued to teach everything about the cult to his daughter and its ways. He also continued to train her mind, body, and spirit as she finally mastered his special jutsu the one that made nintaijutsu a secret in the sky village.

Now was the time for her to take control of the cult and village but in order to do so, her father needed to feel her true hate. Her father led Shi to a remote location in the village surrounded by other members of the cult as they surrounded Shi and her father. The time for the judgment was at hand. Her father revealed what she had to do…...She had to kill her father in order to show him that hate as well as the rest of the cult. Though he knew she wouldn’t do it but he had a plan up his sleeve in order for her to strike him. Her father revealed to her that her mother didn’t die giving birth to Shi, he revealed to Shi that she had been sacrificed to Akui in a blood ritual and that her father had been the one to deliver to blow though her heart killing her in the process. A sudden change in position from Shi as did her expression as a flash of lighting surrounded her body and without warning she killed her father in one decisive blow. Shi had pierced his own chest with her hand and delivered a killing blow to his heart as he did to her mother. With this Shi had changed forever. She was now the Sorakage, but also The Harbinger: Leader of the cult. Said to be chosen by the lord/god himself. After hearing the whispers of the lord the chosen one would then be searched out by the old holder of the title of Harbinger. After proving his devotion to the lord the new chosen then carves out the heart of the old leader.

And he had responded with silence and hostility off the mark. Not that she blamed him, it was hardly like her artwork warranted discussion for him. Though she'd have been happy to preach to him had he just asked.

The man spent a little time forging his chakra and had she not been amused with his act of defiance, she might have moved faster than he could have reacted. Instead she'd allow him his little moment of vanity, watching as he formed sand around him. How interesting!

So this man controlled sand at his whim? Well. Some kind of sand. It was noted and filed away in her brain. But then he'd launch the attack at her with a fury those who were emotionally hurt only achieved. Perhaps this place meant more to him than he wanted to let on.

The sand needles were fast, but she was faster. And she wouldn't rush to move out of the way. Instead her foot shifted just slightly, hooking under the dead man's chin. She'd kick abruptly so that the body went flipping up into the air in front of her. The little bullets would pierce the dead body in front of her sending little poofs of misty blood floating into the air.

There was nothing moral about her using the body as a shield, but then her work was sacrosanct and she'd not allow a man to simply get in her way. But he did intrigue her, like a cat catching an insect. Her face would be devoid of emotion, though, head tilting to the side as the body hit the floor and his attack was nullified.

"Who is the man who walks into the city of the dead?" she'd ask, her voice had a foreign lilt to it; closer to those who resided in Hi no Kuni, yet it seemed otherworldly too as if her voice breached both the plane of living and dead at the same time.

Still the whispers could be heard, increasing in magnitude at the man.
